The presence of God is where we meet with God in stillness, quietness and in reverence (Psalm 46:10). We recognize that we are in the presence of the most high God who loves us dearly. There is something about fellowshipping with God that seems to translate us into His holy presence.
Just like any relationship, coming to the presence of God to spend time with Him is very vital to our christian walk as we develop an intimate relationship with our loving heavenly father. God longs to spend time with us. When we practice His presence earnestly, He gives a peace and tranquility that surrounds us. Every Christian should develop his or her own prayer life and daily set aside a certain time to visit with the father. I like to say that it is our appointment to meet with our loving heavenly father, where we
communicate with Him in prayer and Bible reading or study.(Matthew 6:6)
The Christian life is not easy, however spending time in God's presence in prayer is where we acquire the strength and grace that we need for our daily walk. Satan knows this fact, and he will do anything in his power to derail our appointment with God and spending time in prayer and Bible study. We must pray that God will grant us the grace to seek Him diligently by spending quality time with Him in prayer and Bible study.
